On the 6th of August marlies|dekkers has won the prestigious and worldwide known CILA Award in New York at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the category Best Fashion Lingerie! With the collection 'dare to bear' (fall|winter collection 2007) marlies|dekkers had to compete with more than 80 brands and entered the final with 4 other consolidated, international brands: Christian Lacroix, Elle MacPherson, John Galliano and Chantelle.

The jury was positively surprised by the innovative style of the marlies|dekkers lingerie, its originality in design and print that makes marlies|dekkers very distinguished in the world of fashion lingerie.

Contours Magazine, the premier US intimate magazine, presented the 2nd Annual Contours International Lingerie Awards (CILA). CILA is a high profile and glamorous event, to celebrate and honor creativity and design within the intimate Apparel Industry, held during the Spring 2008 Market in New York City. It also highlights how the intimate apparel, a 16 billion-dollar industry, plays a major role in greatly influencing the mainstream fashion industry. More than 80 designers from over 8 countries entered this exciting event. On the 2th of July five finalists from each of the 16 categories were selected. Well-known brands such as Kenzo, Lejaby, Lise Charmel and Nina Ricci were amongst the finalists.
